Welcome to Loddon Waste Management Ltd., a member of the Loddon Group of companies.

A diamond of batteries
Loddon Waste Management are well placed to offer collection and recycling services to all Battery Compliance Schemes.

Motorola, together with Loddon, were founder members of the London Battery Group, formed more than two decades ago, to find viable and environmentally acceptable ways to remove end of life batteries from the waste stream, resulting in the first ever Battery Take Back Scheme in the UK, a successor to which still exists today.

As recycling facilities for non lead acid batteries did not at that time exist in the United Kingdom (and only exist today for pre treatment) Loddon forged relationships with European recyclers, firstly with S.N.A.M, specialists in the recycling of Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) material and based in Southern France, then more recently with Citron S.A. a Swiss company based in Northern France, with a broad capability to recycle many types of waste including most battery chemistries especially alkaline (of which Citron are the largest processors in Europe).

With the European Battery Directive now law, Loddon Waste Management are well placed to offer collection and recycling services to all Battery Compliance Schemes. Services exist which are already being additionally utilised for the collection and recycling of fluorescent tubes and lamps and end of life fridges and freezers. Loddon has access to a complete nationwide network plus many more strategically located collection, bulking and drop off points which can be activated at short notice.
